We would like to inform you that in order to comply with the modifications of the NOM’s Annex published on October 23, 2018, starting next June 3, you can NOT import goods without proof of compliance with security NOMs at the point of entry into the country.

Consider that certificates that do not have a harmonize tariff code system will not be valid in the Customs-Norms system and, therefore, their imports can not be carried out.

Please follow  the next steps:

  1. Validate that the harmonize tariff code  declared is correct.
  2. If it is correct, ask the OC to reprint your certificate through a letter on letterhead, free format and signed by the legal proxy.
  3. If it is not correct, ask the OC, through a letter on letterhead, free format and signed by the legal proxy, to correct it and also reprinting your certificate.

NOTE 1:  It applies only to current certificates

NOTE 2: If you have a question about the tariff code classification that corresponds to your product consult your customs broker.
