Eficiencia energética de lámparas para uso general. Límites y métodos de prueba (Energy Efficiency for General-Purpose Lamps. Limits and Testing Methods).
For the certification process, lamps are classified and grouped by family, in accordance with the following criteria:
All lamps shall be of the same brand and come from the same production plant, in addition to having the characteristics below, according to the type of lamp to be tested.
- Incandescent lamps and halogen lamps:
They should have the same spectrum. See the following tables:

- Fluorescent lamps:
Family grouping shall have the same diameter, shape, start type, power, shall be within the same color temperature range, and shall have the length ranges set out in Tables 5 and 6.
- Metal halide lamps:
Family grouping shall be according to discharge tube type, outer light bulb finish, and start type.
- Mixed-light lamps:
Family grouping will be according to power.
- Mercury-vapor lamps:
Family grouping will be according to power and finish type.
- High-pressure sodium-vapor lamps:
Family grouping will be according to power and finish type.
